Download Inventor Files5/6/2021
Here is a link to download some of their hinges: We didnt play around with it to much, as it was a pretty basic shape to draw, so we just used their model to recreate a new model of a hinge, that would could constrain ourself, and change the angle, provide motion, etc. This is not an official translation and may contain errors and inaccurate translations.Autodesk does not warrant, either expressly or implied, the accuracy, reliability or completeness of the information translated by the machine translation service and will not be liable for damages or losses caused by the trust placed in the translation service.Unless the supplier provides.ipt, though, none of them will have features.
Inventor Files Download Some OfNeutral formats import as a dumb solid body, or sometimes mulitple bodies. You can modify them, however, using any of the regular Inventor tools. Fittings downloaded from Parkers website would be a good example of this. As cwhetten said, the imported file will be a dumb solid if imported from a neutral file. If it is an ipt with a broken link as I described, it will be in a similar condition. So, the ipts only real advantage is being able to directly open the file, rather than go through an import process first. If not, Ill just get STEP, and if it doesnt import well I will try whatever else they have available that Inventor will open. I dont believe youll find many cases of a supplier posting their fully-functioning parametric Inventor model for download. Ok, that explains things, I was thinking that the files would be able to modified, and not a dumb solid model. Thanks. Of course you can. Attach file here and explain what feature you would like to modify that cant be modified. Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits, Curtis. Just because there is no history tree doesnt mean there are no features. A cylinder is still a cylinder, an extrusion is still an extrusion. Thicken, Move Face. Loft, but if someone could create it - it should be editable in some way, even it takes a bit of work. There might not be an Easy Button (or in some cases maybe there is - Feature Recognition add-in). My challenge is this - show me something I cant edit, explain what you want it to be and a logic reason for the change. I realize that you can edit the parts in terms of adding material and making cuts etc. I think what I was trying to say was that you cannot go to an existing feature in the model tree, right click, and edit it. Maybe I was unclear in what I told the poster, because as you pointed out. They model the hinge spread open, but we wanted to be able to change the angle that it was open.
